R 005 - "Crespina" gadrooned dish.
Iron-red glazed brown stoneware. This shape with gadroons presented as in a swirl bears oriental origins and was very common in Spain (hispano-moresque ceramics) and in Italy (beginning of majolica) in the 15th century. The 16th century majolica still uses it and calls it a "crespina". ō = 19,5 cm.
